This week I have been really working hard on my website. I feel like my capstone project website will be a huge part of my presentation. The more organized and informative I appear on my website, the more people will be interested in what I have to say. I began putting more pictures from my mentorship in galleries on my website as well as editing and placing everything under multiple tabs. Each tab serves a purpose to guide my audience through the multiple areas of my capstone project. I also used this week to start brainstorming interview questions to ask other speech pathologists found within the county. I was given the idea of asking other speech pathologists in the community about my thesis statement and their take on it. So, I felt like I needed to expand my boundaries to completely understand speech pathology and the different students each speech therapist works with. By interviewing new faces, I will be able to support my essential question more. I thought it was time for some new data points in my research paper. As I have said before, each student learns differently which makes what I am learning almost like solving a puzzle. In order to completely answer my essential question, I plan to be more interactive with the autism program at Sharon Elementary School and understand each autistic child’s learning methods. I cannot wait to see what I learn!
