The article absolutely fascinated me! It was hitting on specific points like the effects of the speech therapist’s volume and tone throughout the session with their client. The effects of the therapist’s tone can create higher anxiety in the therapy room and the whole goal of most speech therapists is to make their clients are completely relaxed and comfortable. My plan was to use this article to show how precise Speech Therapy is and how even the voice of the therapist counts towards the progress of one the patients.

“The Influence of Volume, Pitch, and Speech Rate on Progressive Relaxation Training”, allowed me to get a better view of what speech therapy was about. It helped me completely understand how each speech therapist takes date and how precise they have to be. The amount of data taken during each session with a client is absolutely mind blowing. Speech therapists have to remain extremely organized and make sure they are accomplishing their goals set for their student. Without this article I would have been completely unaware of the precise actions needed to be taken at all times to make sure the client is receiving the proper help they need. With this article, I intend to include it where it completely supports my idea about the change of voice and the change of volume and tone and how children learn with a certain teacher’s tone. For example, I observe an autistic pre-kindergarten class and I have begun notice that the teacher has to change the way she projects her voice in order for each of the autistic children to understand and follow orders. This is why I was so fascinated with the topic of changing of voice and the effects of it on certain speech therapy sessions. I also got to learn about progressive relaxation training, and that again gave me an insight of the different therapies used throughout an hour therapy session.

How I felt after reading this article!!!!
